A specialist in medical gases, hospital respiratory care and homecare, Air Liquide cares for more than 300,000 patients at home and serves more than 10,000 hospitals around the world.

The Healthcare division of the Group is represented in homecare, medical gases and hospital services (hygiene & sterilization) and in medical (respiratory) equipment, with over 6,000 staff and a turnover of €1,478 million worldwide in 2006, representing 13% of the Group’s turnover.

In China, Air Liquide has been supplying medical gases for many years in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Qingdao, especially in Shanghai and Qingdao, supplying more than 30% of the local market needs. Air Liquide started to promote in China its respiratory equipment since 2001 through its subsidiary Taema and chemical and vaccination products since 1996 through another subsidiary Seppic.

Healthcare Division is working closely with hospitals, scientific communities and Chinese Authorities to promote our new products and services.
